If so, there is nothing left to do other than make plans to attend the 2010 LifeLock.com 400, a Sprint Cup Series NASCAR race held each summer at the Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Illinois. Formerly run under such names as the Tropicana 400 (2001-04) or USG Sheetrock 400 (2005-07), the LifeLock.com 400 date was initially added to the Sprint Series calendar in 2001 as a daytime race, before being changed to an evening event beginning in 2008.

Sponsorship of this race has been taken over since 2008 by LifeLock, a fraud-prevention company, which has also previously sponsored the Kansas 400 in 2007, and the first Michigan 400 race of the season in 2008 and 2009, with all three of those carrying the title of LifeLock 400 during at that time.

Even given that the LifeLock.com 400 is a fairly new race in the Sprint Cup Series lineup, it has already given fans some great race moments. In nine years since the inaugural race in 2001, the LifeLock.com 400 has seen seven separate winners, with Kevin Harvick (2001-02) and Tony Stewart (2004, 2007) being the only two repeating winners. Chevy-based teams seem to be right at home in Chicagoland for the LifeLock, considering that Chevrolet has won seven of the nine races so far, followed distantly by Dodge (2003) and Toyota (2008), each winning one of the other two.

If you are trying to decide which NASCAR race to attend, keep in mind that Joliet has become a very popular destination for stock car fans each summer. With Chicagoland Motor Speedway’s unique D-shaped, 1.5 mile track, this is one racing facility which is rapidly attracting quite a large fan base year after year. Situated near historic Route 66, the speedway continues to build upon its great reputation as one of the nicest stops of the Sprint Cup Series season.
