The Champs Sports Bowl is a college football game that is played in Orlando, Florida every year. Starting with the year 2006 football season, the bowl will match up teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference and the Big Ten Conference. The game was played at the Pro Player Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida from the years 1990 to 2000 but now it’s played at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando.

Since the year 2001, the bowl has been operated by Florida Citrus Sports, which a non-profit group that also organizes the Capital One Bowl and Florida Classic. FCS took over the game, moved it to Orlando, to give the city two bowl games and initially utilized the moniker of Tangerine Bowl, bringing back the "Tangerine Bowl" name which had been previously associated with Orlando for decades. Raycom Sports originally organized the game in the summer of the year 1990.

Since the year 2006 football season, the bowl has matched up teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference and the Big Ten Conference. Since the year 2004, Champs Sports, a division of Foot Locker, was the main sponsor of the event. The change was made to move the game from the less-desirable pre-Christmas date utilized from the years 2001-2004.

Under the terms of a television deal signed with ESPN in the year 2006, the bowl will be held after Christmas Day from the years 2006-2009 and will be shown on ESPN prime time.
