The Insight Bowl is a Division I-A American college football bowl game and is played in Arizona. It has been certified by the NCAA as one of its official bowl games and has been in existence since the year 1989. Like other football bowl games, Insight Bowl also went through numerous title changes. From 1989-1996, the Insight Bowl was known as the Copper Bowl. However, in 1996, Insight.com got the naming rights and the game came to be known as the Insight.com Bowl from 1996-2001. Later it finally became the Insight Bowl. Several conferences like the Big 12, Big 10, PAC 10 (Pacific Conference) and WAC (Western Athletics Conference) have been featured in the Insight Bowl.

The Sun Devil Stadium is the host to the Insight Bowl and is located on the campus of Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. It was constructed in the year 1958 and has a seating capacity for 73,379 spectators. After the construction of the Sun Devil Stadium in the year 1958, the first game played at the venue was between the Arizona State University and West Texas State on October 4th 1958. The former defeated the West Texas State by a margin of 16-13. On September 21st 1996, the Sun Devil Stadium was renamed as the Sun Devil Stadium, Frank Kush Field, in the honor of the football coaching legend Frank Kush.
