Mississippi State Bulldogs Tickets
The Mississippi Bulldogs are a combination of the athletics teams from the University of Mississippi, located at Starkville, Mississippi. Affectionately called 'The Bulldogs', they compete in the NCAA Division I of the Southeastern Conference (West Division). The Mississippi Bulldogs participate in various NCAA events such as football, basketball, baseball, softball, tennis, golf, soccer, volleyball, track & field and cross-country running. The Bulldogs finished the 2007 season with an impressive 8-5 record.
Sylvester Croom, born on September 25th, 1954 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama is the current head coach of the Mississippi State Bulldogs football team. He is the first African American in the history of Southeastern Conference (SEC) to reach the position of Head Coach.
Davis Wade Stadium is the home to the Mississippi State Bulldogs and is located in Starkville, Mississippi. It was constructed in the year 1914 and has a seating capacity of 55,082 fans. The last expansion project for the Davis Wade stadium was completed at an estimated cost of $30 million. This new expansion included 50 skyboxes, 1700 club-level seats and a second upper deck for seating 7,000 people.
After the September 11th, 2001 tragedy, the very first game of the NCAA Tournament was played at the Davis-Wade stadium on September 20th, 2001 and was between the Mississippi Bulldogs and the South Carolina Gamecocks. The game was broadcast live on ESPN.
