The North Carolina State Wolfpack are the athletic teams in the North Carolina State University. The university is popularly known as the NC State or the NCSU and is located in North Carolina, USA. The North Carolina State Assembly had founded the university on March 7, 1887.

The Wolfpack are a founding member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The North Carolina State Wolfpack football team is a member of the Atlantic Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They are a successful intercollegiate team in America. The team has won seven Atlantic Coast Conference championships and twelve Bowl games. They have participated in the Bowl game a total of twenty-three times. The Duke Blue Devils, the East Carolina Pirates, the North Carolina Tar Heels and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons are the main rivals of the NCSU football team. Tom O'Brien is the present head coach of the team. He had joined the team in the year 2007. He had also previously headed the Boston College football team.

The North Carolina State Wolfpack football team plays their home games at the Carter-Finley Stadium. This facility has a seating capacity for 60,000 spectators. It was inaugurated in the year 1966. Originally, the stadium was named the Carter Stadium after the major distributors, Harry C. and Wilbert J. “Nick” Carter. Later on, the name of another major contributor, Albert E. Finley was added to the previous name.
