10cc’s members grew up together. The bassist was encouraged to play by his music teacher. The lead singer wanted to start a band since he was in middle school. 10cc began performing at Cafeteria, a college dive bar. The band used to sell their records out of their truck at the local record store.
10cc's newest record has taken the band in a quite different direction, with a heavier sound. The group recently completed their most current record, but they are already planning the next release.
Even after getting the record deal 10cc were not sure if they would make it in the end. The band really enjoys performing and is playing almost nightly for fans. 10cc was discovered after their single was heard on B94.5. The groupplayed anywhere that would have them in the beginning.
10cc accepted that the possibility of living life as actual musicians was a real possibility in 1991, after the band's first fan club was started by Carol Yeubanks. After playing from California to New York, the band’s fan club exploded from the handful of fans around San Antonio to thousands in every city throughout the country.
The group has an obsession with Diva in Albany and are sure to play a show every year. 10cc realizes that most fans like their previous songs, so they use material from previous records and the newest album.
