2 Cents

2 Cents Tickets

2 Cents began playing together in 1994. The band was influenced by Bobby Darin. 2 Cents started singing at Desperado, a college dive bar. The guitarist was encouraged to play by his grade school teacher.

2 Cents was offered a record contract after their single was heard on Q101.1. The group played for little to no money at first and was just happy to be given a chance to be heard. 2 Cents were still not sure if they would make it after getting a record. They had heard too many stories and knew that they were in no position to expect anything. The band is on tour constantly, performing before legions of fans nightly.

2 Cents plans to spend some time apart after the tour, allowing the band members to work on side projects. The group may have just completed their new release, but they are thinking of what is next to come. 2 Cents's new record has taken the band in a completely different direction, with a heavier sound.

Critics have often commended 2 Cents for their ability to rile up the audience at live shows. Miles Emerson, a music critic from Champaign, has always been pleased with band’s immensely talented guitarist. 2 Cents’s newest record is the group’s best reviewed record yet.

2 Cents knows to play both the old and the new at their concerts. The band loves playing in Charleston because they have never failed to sell out a how in the city. 2 Cents’s tickets for their latest tour are available on TheSeats.com, along with the complete concert schedule and seating charts.
