25 Ta Life started playing at the local bar Colleague. The guitarist used to listen to his dad's music constantly as a kid. The drummer was influenced by his grandmother's love of music. The members of 25 Ta Life met in 1995. The group was influenced by music of the 1950s.

25 Ta Life talked to a DJ from K99.1 and got their single on air. The girlfriend of a record executive heard the song and soon after 25 Ta Life was signed.
