Alice Cooper Tickets
Alice Cooper is the stage name of Vincent Furnier. The rock persona has been around since the late ‘60s when Furnier and a few friends from high school began working on starting on a band. They idea got the inkling after winning their high school Letterman’s talent show in 1964 and enjoying playing on stage. The thing is, they did not know how to play any instruments and simply mimed along to a Beatles song.
After learning to play instruments and using their art interests, they came up with a rock band with gimmicks that could truly capitalize on the stage. The performance became Alice Cooper, with Vincent Furnier became Alice Cooper, the androgynous dressing reincarnated witch haunting the stage, and a lineup of Glen Buxton on lead guitar, Michael Bruce on rhythm guitar, Dennis Dunaway on bass, and Neal Smith on drums played behind him. Alice Cooper struggled initially with their brand of psychedelic rock to find an audience willing to buy tickets to their shows or their albums.
Frank Zappa was a believer and signed them to a three-record deal on his label, Straight, but eventually Warner Bros. bought the label and Alice Cooper needed to make a hit soon. Before the hit, Alice Cooper moved to Furnier’s childhood home town, Detroit. There a new audience embraced their single “I’m Eighteen”. The album that followed in 1971, Love It to Death, was certified platinum.
"Recent thought on Alice Cooper has been a real eye-opener for society from young to old. "Revolutionizing You Now" is an excellent pop ballad that everyone can become to. I am deservingly advanced about Alice Cooper coming to town, I can’t arrive. If society has a favourite child, it is Alice Cooper."
The group Alice Cooper gave way to the solo career of Alice Cooper, as Vincent Furnier took the stage persona with him as he continued his conceptual albums in the decade to follow. The ‘80s were a time of relaxation and experimentation outside of music for Alice Cooper, mainly “B” horror movies and perfecting his golf swing.
