Andrea Berg’s members grew up together. Dolly Parton heavily influenced the early work of the band. Andrea Berg started playing at the college dive bar Cafeteria. The guitarist used to annoy his sibling by playing his favorite cassette tape incessantly.

Andrea Berg first garnered some national attention with their first single. The band no longer has any problem selling out a show. submitted their single to Z103.1 and a DJ took a liking to it. The members of the group all quit their other jobs to focus on their music.

Andrea Berg knew that they could really have a career in music in 1981, after Susan Dostal started the group’s first fan club. Starting out with just a few dozen members in Cincinnati, the fan club quickly grew with group’s national tour and the launching of the group’s website by Angela Boughton.
