Apassionata started singing at the local bar Perdition. The drummer was encouraged to play by his brother. The guitarist use to listen to record constantly as a kid. Apassionata’s members met in 1994. The group used to sell their records out of their car on the street.

Apassionata met with a local DJ from K93.5 and convinced him to play their single on air. The single immediately became a local hit and larger radio stations started playing the song. Eventually a record executive heard it and signed the group. After the single hit the airwaves and blew up, Apassionata were still afraid they’d be a one hit wonder.

Apassionata knew that they were truly working musicians as soon as Sandra Lambert started a fan club for the group in 1987. The fan club quickly grew from a few dozen in Oklahoma City to a few thousand across the country.

Apassionata intends to spend some time apart after this next tour, allowing the band members to rest. The band recently completed their latest project, but they are already thinking of their next move. Apassionata's newest release is the band's first album in five years.

Apassionata knows to play both the old and the new at their shows. The band has always had a good time in Los Angeles so they make sure to play there every year, even if they are not promoting anything.
