Austin City Limits Festival Tickets
Every summer, Austin City Limits Festival is one Champaign’s greatest tours. The festival was started in 1980 when the city noticed its residents were leaving for the weekends because of the lack of big events. Paul Colangelo came up with the specifics for Austin City Limits Festival while listening to his favorite cassette tape. The new event did not receive much financial support or much advertising, so the festival started out pretty small, relying a lot on local artists..
It took a few years, but eventually word spread and Austin City Limits Festival received some attention The festival started to get more acts that had made a name for themselves around the country and it began to warrant the kind of attention its creators dreamed it would receive one day. Hotel rooms in the city were soon being filled months in advance for the dates surrounding Austin City Limits Festival.
Austin City Limits Festival is now one of the hottest events of the year, with tickets generally lasting only a couple of hours after being released to the public. The festival is now so big that just about any group will say yes if asked to sing. The organizers of the tour have not forgotten where they’ve come from though, and always ask local artists to play the smaller stages. Austin City Limits Festival has come along way from the tiny event it started out as, and seems only to grow bigger and bigger every year.
The festival is once again the biggest of its kind this year. More bands than ever will be there with huge names and great up and coming groups.
