The members of Aventura met in middle school. The bassist use to listen to CD constantly as a teenager. Aventura began singing at Guy, a college bar. The band was influenced by the Kinks.

Aventura was discovered while joking around, performing on the street one day. The group really enjoys performing and is playing almost nightly for fans.

Aventura accepted that they were truly working musicians as soon as Donna Piper started the first fan club for the band in 1979. The fan club started out small with just a handful of members, generally localized to the area around Pittsburgh, but the creation the group’s website by Jennifer Noonan, along with the first real national marketing campaign, saw the membership to grow into the thousands.

The band has just finished their newest album, but they are already planning the next release. The newest release from Aventura has taken the group in a new direction, with a more complex musical structure.
