Back Door Slam Tickets
The members of Back Door Slam met in grade school. The group used to practice at the guitarist's garage. Back Door Slam began playing at Voodoo, a local dive bar. The drummer used to listen to his grandfather's music constantly as a teenager.
Back Door Slam's new release is the band's first since the band members went to work on independent projects nine years ago. The band recently finished their most current release, and they are thinking of what is to come next. Back Door Slam hope to team up with other artists during this tour.
Often times, critics will commend Back Door Slam for their playfulness with the audience at live performances. Derrick Treadaway, a music critic from Omaha, has always been enamored with group’s vocals. Back Door Slam’s latest record has received great reviews from George Dunn, a music critic out of San Antonio, and Nathan Gibson, from Kansas City.
Back Door Slam was discovered after their single was heard on X101.1. The band played for little to no money at first and was just happy to be given a chance to be heard. Back Door Slam were sure that they would make it after signing the record deal. They had heard stories of others still failing, but were sure they would be one of those bands.
Back Door Slam accepted that they had a real chance to become a headlining national act in 1995, after the band's first fan club was started by Carol Phillippe. Starting out with just a few dozen members in Pittsburgh, the fan club quickly grew with band’s national tour and the launching of the group’s website by Anna Fleetwood.
