Back Forty began singing at the local bar Diva. The band asked the local radio station to play their single. The members of Back Forty met in middle school. The bassist used to annoy his family by playing his favorite CD too loud.
Back Forty's members hope this next tour brings in more fans than ever. The group just completed their most current project, and they are planning the next release already. The newest record from Back Forty is the group's ninth project.
Back Fortywere tentative after releasing their debut single, but were more than relieved when they started hearing their music on the radio. Back Forty talked to a music director from Q95.1 and got their single on air. The girlfriend of a record executive heard the song and soon after Back Forty was signed.
Back Forty accepted that they were truly working musicians in 1980, after the band's first fan club was started by Betty Krishnamurthy. Starting out with just a few dozen members in Denver, the fan club quickly grew with band’s national tour and the launching of the group’s website by Patricia Gasteyer.
