The members of Bad Brains met in 1976. The lead singer was encouraged to play by his favorite teacher. The guitarist wanted to start a group since he was in college. Bad Brains began singing at Universe, a college bar. The group kept asking the local radio station to play their tracks.

After the single hit the airwaves and became incredibly popular, Bad Brains knew they’d made it big and were not willing to be just another one hit wonder. submitted their single to B95.5 and a DJ took a liking to it.

Bad Brains knew they had finally made it when the band’s first fan club was started in 1998 by Jenny Okerblom. The fan club received a huge boost after Ruth Brady designed a website for the group. That coupled with the tour country wide saw the fan club’s official membership reach numbers in the thousands.

The newest album from Bad Brains is a refinement of their accepted sound. The group may have just completed their newest record, but they are already planning the next release. Bad Brains's members hope this next tour brings in more fans than ever.
