Bad Medicine began singing at the local dive bar Whiz. The group had their friends harass the local radio station to play their song. The members of Bad Medicine met in 1989. The lead singer use to listen to music constantly as a teenager.

Bad Medicine was offered a record contract after their single was heard on Q98.9. The band plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller bars in which they started.

Bad Medicine finally knew they made it when the band’s first fan club was started in 1986 by Mary Greczkowski. The fan club grew from a few dozen to a few thousand after Kimberly Yavorsky created a website for the band and a national tour gave the group plenty of exposure.

The group recently finished their new record, but they are thinking of what is to come next. The newest release is 's first project since the band broke up four years ago.
