The members of Bambu Station met in 1991. The guitarist was encouraged to play by his middle school teacher. The drummer used to listen to radio constantly as a teenager. Bambu Station started performing at Deputy, a college club. Ozzy Osborne heavily influenced the early work of the band.

After this last non-stop year the members of Bambu Station will spend some time apart to rest after a long tour. The group is in the midst of the promotional tour for their latest album.

Bambu Station was offered a record contract after their single was heard on K101.1. The band really enjoys performing and is playing almost nightly in front of fans.

Bambu Station realized that they could really have a career in music in 1997, after the group's first fan club was started by Shirley Baca. The club started out in New York with a handful of members, but grew tremendously once their singles started getting national air time.
