Bayside started singing at the college dive bar Widget. The drummer wanted to start a band since he was in college. The drummer was influenced by his grandmother's love of music. Bayside began playing together while they were in college. The band used to sell their records out of their truck at the local music store.

Bayside’s single rose quickly in the charts giving then the national recognition they always wanted. After paying their dues and opening shows for years, Bayside was signed to a record deal.

Bayside accepted that the possibility of living life as actual musicians was a real possibility in 1984, when Maria Natalello started the band’s first fan club. Starting out with just a few dozen members in Miami, the fan club quickly grew with group’s national tour and the launching of the band’s website by Pamela Anderson.

The band is in the middle of the tour promoting for their newest project. Bayside's latest album has taken the band in a brand new direction, with a softer edge.
