Bayside’s members grew up together. Madonna heavily influenced the early work of the group. Bayside began playing at the college club Tundra. The lead singer first found his love of music by listening to his father's collection of records.

The band has just completed their latest album, but they are plotting their next move already. Bayside plans to spend some time apart after this next tour, allowing the band members to work on side projects.

got X103.5 to start playing their single and had their friends call in to request the song. A record executive heard it one day and immediately signed the band. All the members quit their day jobs to focus on their music. The band is on the road all the time now promoting their album before sold out clubs.

Bayside finally realized they made it as soon as the group’s first fan club was started in 1980 by Jennifer O'Toole. The club started out in San Diego with a handful of members, but grew tremendously once their singles started getting national air time.
