BB King started playing at Bruise, a college bar. The guitarist used to fall asleep with a CDplaying as a child. The guitarist used to listen to his sibling's record constantly as a teenager. BB King’s members grew up together. The group was influenced by Johnny Cash.

BB King was discovered while joking around, performing on the street one day. BB King’s first release climbed the charts quickly, giving them national exposure.
