Bob Dylan Tickets
Bob Dylan has cemented his place in history with the acceptance of a Pulitzer Prize Special Citation for his incredible wide-spread influence on American culture over the last half a century. Dylan first came into the public consciousness after the “new folk movement” in the early ‘60s. The most dominant figure out of Greenwich Village, his albums became the face of folk music. His albums sold well and his concerts sold out of tickets quickly. Of course, Dylan would not be so simply pegged.
Bob Dylan irked folk fans in the middle of the ‘60s when he began to incorporate the electric guitar into his act. The folk audiences may have felt alienated, but Dylan found something in the British invasion that inspired him. His new meld of folk and rock produced five straight platinum albums, including classics like Highway 61 revisited and Blonde on Blonde, and sold out tickets across the world as his tour schedules exposed his genius to the globe.
He was never a conventional figure, and he became a recluse after a motor cycle accident in the middle of the decade. Bob Dylan had felt the pressures to perform and needed a break. Dylan would only be coaxed out of his seclusion by the death of Woody Guthrie, his music idol. He played his first concert in 20 months on January 20, 1968. He returned to the studio, but struggled to find the magical lyrics that had raised him to fame. Critics were never sure what they were going to hear and his record sales suffered. Bob Dylan returned to stage in 1972. His tours once again sold out tickets to almost every concert on the schedule.
His return from personal confusion was short lived. Ob Dylan spent much of the ‘80s experimenting with musical form and his personal philosophy. He became a born again Christian and played more gospel, he then tried rap, and then ended up in the super band, the Traveling Wilburys, with Roy Orbison, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, and George Harrison.
His journey has taken him from his beginning as Robert Zimmerman in Minnesota to the internationally acclaimed Bob Dylan. He is best remembered for his potent lyrics and their political and social messages. His genius has been awarded several times with awards and hall of fame inductions and The Seats has tickets to see Bob Dylan to al his concerts. The amazing selection of affordable seats make seeing a legend like Bob Dylan easy.
