Bobby Rydell was offered a record contract after putting on a show at at Eyewitness, local bar. The band's members all had weird jobs while they waited to be noticed. Bobby Rydell were still not sure if they would make it after getting a record. They had heard too many stories and knew that they were in no position to expect anything.
Bobby Rydell knew that they had a real chance to become a headlining national act after the band’s first fan club was started in 1996 by Jen Pillar. The band embraced the small fan club and with the launching of the group’s own website by Sarah Tettleton and a well marketed national tour the club quickly grew to a few thousand.
The band is in the first leg of the promotional tour for their most current project. Bobby Rydell's latest record has taken the group in a brand new direction, with a heavier sound.
