Brett Dennen’s members met in high school. The band used to sell their CDs out of their van at the local music store. Brett Dennen started playing at Beach, a college club. The lead singer discovered his love of music while listening to his uncle's collection of records.
After paying their dues and opening shows for years, Brett Dennen was signed to a record deal. The group group played festivals, parties, bars, really just about anywhere that would take them. Brett Dennen signed the record deal, and fully expected that they would last past the first album.
Brett Dennen accepted that they had a real chance to become a headlining national act when the band’s first fan club was started in 1997 by Angela Mitchell. Starting out with just a few dozen members in Concord, the fan club quickly grew with group’s national tour and the launching of the band’s website by Cynthia Lordi.
Brett Dennen hope to team up with other artists during the tour. The band is in the middle of the tour accompanying for their latest release. Brett Dennen's most current release is the band's first project since the band broke up five years ago.
Generally, critics praise Brett Dennen for their ability to rile up the crowd at concerts. A music critic from St. Louis, Seth Rastetter, has always been a fan of group’s amazing vocals.
