C. C. Manded’s members grew up together. The group harassed the local radio station to play their track. C. C. Manded started playing at Oaf, a college club. The drummer use to listen to records constantly as a child.

C. C. Manded were happy to get the record deal, but were not sure how far they would go. The release of their debut recording convinced them that they were right where they should be after their songs began to get lots of radio play. The group is now a huge draw wherever they perform. C. C. Manded was offered a record contract after their single was heard on Q96.9. The band regularly played at Deputy before making it to the big time.

C. C. Manded accepted that they were truly working musicians as soon as the group’s first fan club was started by Anna Molitor in 1992. The fan club started out small with just a handful of members, generally localized to the area around Boston, but the creation the group’s website by Sarah Harkenreader, along with the first real national marketing campaign, saw the membership to grow into the thousands.
