Ca$$ette La’s members were friends in college. Big Joe Turner heavily influenced the early work of the band. Ca$$ette La started singing at Engineer, a college bar. One of the band's members used to fall asleep with a album playing as a teenager.

After the single hit the airwaves and became incredibly popular, Ca$$ette La knew they’d made it big and were not willing to be just another one hit wonder. The group is constantly touring now, rarely taking a week or night off.

After this last non-stop year the members of Ca$$ette La will spend some time apart. The group recently finished their most current record, but they are already thinking of their next move. Ca$$ette La's newest release took seven months to produce.
