Cage 9’s members met in 1996. The band used to practice at the lead singer's garage. Cage 9 began performing at the local club Hardware. The guitarist discovered his love of music while listening to his father's music collection.

The years of paying their dues paid off when Cage 9 signed a record deal. The group played for years atlocal festivals making almost no money.

Cage 9 plans to take a break after the tour, to allow the band members to work on side projects. The band has just completed their newest project, but they are already thinking of their next move. The newest project from Cage 9 is the band's first album in six years.
