Camera Obscura’s members grew up together. The drummer was encouraged to play by his mother. Camera Obscura started performing at the college bar Cafeteria. The group used to practice at the guitarist's garage.

Camera Obscura's latest album has taken the group in a new direction, with a heavier sound. The group recently finished their new album, but they are already planning the next release. Camera Obscura are expecting to bring in a whole new audience with this tour and the new record.

Camera Obscura was discovered after their single was heard on B90.5. The band members were happy that all the parties they had played had paid off. The band is constantly touring now, rarely taking a week or night off.

Camera Obscura accepted that they were truly working musicians when the band’s first fan club was started in 1992 by Pamela Moran. The fan club quickly grew from a few dozen in Dallas to a few thousand country wide.

The band loves playing in Omaha because they played their first sold out show there.
