Counting Crows Tickets

Counting Crows is an alternative rock band that has survived the brief grunge movement, the following alternative rock era, and continues to thrive in the 21^st century in the age of indie rock. This time around Adam Duritz and the guys are back with a new album, Underwater Sunshine. Underwater Sunshine is the first new album in four years from the group and its first from its departure from Geffen Records. The new material is a venerable career revue for the Counting Crows, one with a mix of covers and new material. The follow up to Saturday Nights and Sunday Morning is unofficially entitled Or What We Did On Our Summer Vacation and is another strong showing from the Bay Area Rockers.

In particular, Counting Crows succeed in making “Start Again” by Teenage Fanclub, “Like Teenage Gravity” by Kasey Anderson, and “Return of the Grievous Angel” by Gram Parsons. The sing’s original tracks include “Meet on the Ledge” and “Ooh La La”.

This time the group has expanded from the original five band mates to seven. Adam Duritz and his pining vocals remains the lead singer. David Bryson, Dan Vickrey, and David Immergluck play guitar and sing back up. Charlie Gillingham is the accordion player with a penchant for the clarinet and keyboards. Millard Powers is the bassist and Jim Bogios is the drummer.
