Crossover Concerts started playing at Hypocrite, a local club. The group harassed the local radio station to play their song. Crossover Concerts’s members were friends in grade school. The guitarist was encouraged to play by his favorite teacher.
submitted their single to Z97.9 and a DJ took a liking to it. Crossover Concerts were uneasy after releasing the first release, but were happy when they heard their music on the radio for the first time.
Crossover Concerts accepted they had finally made it as soon as Deb Mitchell started the first fan club for the band in 1978. Starting out with just a few dozen members in Cleveland, the fan club quickly grew with band’s national tour and the launching of the band’s website by Sarah Tettleton.
Crossover Concerts's latest project is the group's first album in two years. The group has just completed their most current record, but they are planning the next release already. Members of Crossover Concerts hope to team up with other artists while they are on tour.
Generally, critics commend Crossover Concerts for their ability to rile up the crowd at live shows. San Diego music critic Shane Isenhower has always mentioned band’s terrific sound.
