Daedelus began playing together while they were in grade school. The bassist was influenced by his aunt's love of music. Daedelus began performing at the college dive bar Deputy. Elvis heavily influenced the early work of the group.

The band is in the start of the tour accompanying for their most current album. Daedelus's most current record is the group's first since the band members went to work on independent projects eight years ago.

Often times, critics will commend Daedelus for their ability to energize the audience during concerts. Sacramento music critic Keith Teisberg has always pointed out group’s incredible hooks. Daedelus’s newest album is receiving excellent reviews from Toby Emerson, a music critic out of Concord, and Tim Ullmann, from Cleveland.

Daedelus was discovered after their single was heard on K93.5. The band regularly played at Anyplace before making it to the big time. Even after getting the record deal Daedelus were not sure if they would make it in the end. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller clubs in which they started.

Daedelus knew that they were real working musicians as soon as Breanda Reiner started the first fan club for the group in 1977. Initially the band only had a few fans from Louisville in the club, but after playing nation wide the fan club’s membership exploded to a few thousand.
