Damned to Suburbia began playing at Attorney, a college club. Ozzy Osborne heavily influenced the early work of the band. The members of Damned to Suburbia met in high school. The drummer was heavily influenced by his grandmother's love for music.
After the single hit the airwaves and blew up, Damned to Suburbia were still afraid they’d be a one hit wonder. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller bars in which they began. A member of Damned to Suburbia started dating a girl whose siblingwas a record executive. She passed the single on to them and the band signed a record deal soon after. The bandstarted headlining shows as soon as they started playing together.
Damned to Suburbia realized they had finally made it in 1994, when the band's first fan club was started by Pamela Carter. Starting out with just a few dozen members in Sacramento, the fan club quickly grew with group’s national tour and the launching of the band’s website by Anna Van Hoos.
Damned to Suburbia hope this tour and the most current project attracts a whole new audience. The band may have recently completed their new record, but they are planning the next release already. Damned to Suburbia's most current project is the band's seventh project.
