Dead Schembechlers was discovered after their single was heard on a local music hour on Z95.5. Dead Schembechlers were uneasy after releasing the debut recording, but were happy when they heard their music on the radio for the first time.
Dead Schembechlers realized that their dream of making an actual life for themselves as musicians had come true after Angela Ernhart started the first fan club for the group in 1985. The fan club started out small with just a handful of members, generally localized to the area around Boston, but the creation the group’s website by Nancy Piper, along with the first real national marketing campaign, saw the membership to grow into the thousands.
