Disturbed Tickets
Disturbed has conquered the rock world with each album they have released. It took a while before they got there though. In 1996, guitarist Dan Donegan, bassist Steve “Fuzz” Kmak, and drummer Mike Wengren hired David Draiman as lead vocals. After that it took four years of demos and live performances before they released their debut album.
That album, The Sickness (2000), launched Disturbed from an obscure nu metal band from Chicago to international fame. The group worked hard, touring with Ozzfest, with Marilyn Manson in Europe and on their own Music as a Weapon tour. The heavy touring schedule and the tremendous reception of their album, especially its lead single “Down With the Sickness”, immediately established Disturbed as a fan favorite I the hard rock genre.
Disturbed followed their number one debut album with a number debut of their second album, Believe (2002). Songs like “Prayer”, “Liberate”, and “Remember” helped the group maintain their success from the first album. Once again the hard working band sold tickets with a busy tour schedule that took them all over the world on different festivals and tours, again including Ozzfest and their own Music as a Weapon series.
Disturbed was not without its downs to go along with its ups. Bassist Steve Kmak would leave the group before the recording of their third album. Disturbed handled the shake up well, and Ten Thousand Fists (2005) was released without any hiccups. The album again debuted at number one and the group again had a heavy schedule of touring.
The constant touring sold plenty of tickets and encouraged plenty of fans to purchase their albums, but it also took a toll on the group. David Draiman’s problem with a deviated symptom and a growing resistance to Prevacid forced the group to postpone the European tour it had scheduled so Draiman could have surgery. The surgery went well and the group returned to Europe in late 2006.
Disturbed cut the European tour short in order to begin working on their fourth studio album. That album, Indestructible, was released on June 3, 2008 and once again reached number one on the charts. Disturbed is planning to tour heavily again, this time starting off in July with the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival.
