Donavon Frankenreiter has made a name in music as much as he is in surfing. He puts equal focus on music as he does on surfing, making him to shine on music and surfing alike. He is known as having an original voice on the California rock scene. This he acquired in the last half decade through unflagging touring. With time, he went dug further and sang sophomores. He released his own album called Move By Yourself.

Donavon Frankenreiter had been a famous surfer in the world. In the meantime, he learnt guitar to pursue a different kind of interest. When he was in his high school, he got involved with a group called Peanut Butter and Jam. He was impressed by this new world that provided a completely different style of entertainment from surfing. Here both he and the audience were enjoying the act. There is so much togetherness in it. He released his first album that was self-titled through Brushfire Recordings.

The album Move By Yourself with its 11 songs is a totally different version of his songs for Frankenreiter. Even though one can feel the sunny openness in his songs, he is making those feelings with some different sounds that include keyboards in the track “Let It Go”. The song has a good blend of soul-stirring Allmans and the obvious pop music, making it equally attractive to all the generations. There are other numbers in the album that are funky as well.

Donavon Frankenreiter listens to a wide variety of music, making it easier for him to sign different styles of songs. He does not want to be cocooned in a single style. Of course, he likes to play the groovy numbers as like other style. To achieve the versatile style of singing, Donavon Frankenreiter has left his original label of Brushfire Recordings and moved on to Lost Highway. With this label, he has brought out his next album called Move By Yourself. He says that he has no regret for leaving his earlier label as he wants to explore new styles of music.

While making the album Move By Yourself, Donavon Frankenreiter had these mutual feeling in mind. He also credits his other band members for making the other groovy numbers equally engrossing. The music of the tracks has the sound that seem to be coming right from the natural object. The songs of Move By Yourself make your mood swing to different situation. But the spirit is kept at constancy. These make the album so popular. One can feel the delight of Donavon as he relates songs of life. It could be his childhood or to the dawn of a new day as in the song “Beautiful Day.” There is a feeling of happiness as he sings the songs. All of them contribute to disseminate the music of life that the band is involved in.
