Ease the Medic’s members met in middle school. The guitarist was influenced by his brother's love of music. Ease the Medic began performing at Accountant, a local bar. The group was influenced by the Beach Boys.
Ease the Medic’s first album was a dud, but the second finally got some attention. A member of Ease the Medic started dating a girl whose brotherwas a record executive. She passed the single on to them and the band signed a record deal soon after.
Ease the Medic finally knew they made it as soon as Carol Wilmouth started the first fan club for the group in 1998. The fan club started out small with just a handful of members, generally localized to the area around Baltimore, but the creation the band’s website by Sarah Lamango, along with the first real national marketing campaign, saw the membership to grow into the thousands.
After this past busy year the members of Ease the Medic will take a break. The band has just completed their new release, and they are already planning the next release.
Often times, critics will commend Ease the Medic for their ability to connect with the crowd at live performances. Neal Harkenreader, a music critic from Chicago, has always been pleased with group’s great sound. Ease the Medic’s newest album has received incredible reviews from all the critics, including Jeremy Lordi, who first saw the group perform in Kansas City.
