The members of Ed Gerhard grew up together. The drummer wanted to start a band since he was in college. Ed Gerhard began singing at the local club Governor. The band was influenced by Bobby Darin.
The newest project from Ed Gerhard took just two months to put together. The band is in the start of the tour accompanying for their most current release. Ed Gerhard intends to take some time off after this next tour, allowing the band members to recharge.
Ed Gerhard were still a little worried after they released their debut recording, but were relieved when the release began to get some radio play. The band regularly played at Gala before making it to the big time.
Ed Gerhard accepted that they were real working musicians as soon as the group’s first fan club was started by Debbie Klinger in 1983. While the club started out small after the organizer heard the group play at a small club in Buffalo, the club grew leaps and bounds after the band’s first national tour.
Ed Gerhard seamlessly blends the songs from the older album with tracks from their new release. Denver has always been receptive to the band, even when they were small time, so the band schedules a show there every year, even if they are not touring.
