Everlast began playing at church in front of the entire congregation. The band was influenced by the blues. Everlast’s members met in high school. One of the group's members used to fall asleep with a CD playing as a teenager.

After paying their dues and opening shows for years, Everlast was signed to a record deal. Even after getting the record deal Everlast were not sure if they would make it in the end.

The newest project from Everlast has taken the group in a different direction, with a softer edge. The group may have recently finished their most current album, but they are already planning the next release. Members of Everlast hope this tour and the new record attracts a whole new audience.
