Farewell Tickets
Farewell began playing together in 1982. The bassistdiscovered his love of music by listening to his brother's music collection. Farewell started singing at Tag, a college club. Elvis heavily influenced the early work of the group.
Farewell was discovered while playing at at Egg, a local dive bar. The members of the band all quit their other jobs to focus on their music. Farewell’s first album did not do so well, but the second album was a hit, going gold.
Farewell accepted they had finally made it after Karen Smith started the first fan club for the band in 1995. After playing from coast to coast, the band’s fan club exploded from the handful of fans around Springfield to thousands in every city throughout the country.
Farewell's most current album is the band's first since the group members went to work on independent projects eight years ago. The group has just completed their newest project, but they are plotting their next move already. After this last hectic year the members of Farewell will take a break to rest after a long year.
Critics have generally commended Farewell for their ability to rile up the audience during concerts. A music critic from Biloxi, Jeremy Pillar, has always been enamored with band’s lyrics. Farewell’s most current album has received incredible reviews from all the critics, including Ryan Lambert from Cincinnati and Nigel Yavorsky from San Diego.
Farewell will mix songs from the most current album with hits from its past project. Omaha has always been receptive to the band, even when they were small time, so the group schedules a show there every year, even if they are not touring.
