F.J. Tickets
F.J.’s members grew up together. The guitarist was encouraged to play by his teacher. The bassist use to listen to tapes constantly as a teenager. F.J. began performing at the local club Cafeteria. Earth, Wind, and Fire heavily influenced the early work of the group.
The new project from F.J. is a refinement of their established sound. The group recently completed their latest album, but they are already thinking of their next move. F.J. plans to take some time off after this next tour, allowing the band members to recharge after a long year.
Often times, critics will commend F.J. for their ability to energize the audience at concerts. A music critic from Shelbyville, Paul Pillar, has always been a fan of group’s incredibly talented guitarist. F.J.’s new release has received generally positive reviews from Ed O'Toole, a music critic out of Omaha, and Chad Lewis, from Boston.
F.J. was discovered after their single was heard on a local music hour on B92.9. F.J.’s first album was a dud, but the second finally got some exposure.
F.J. knew that they were real working musicians in 1976, as soon as the group's first fan club was started by Liz Nassau. Initially the group only had a few fans from Boston in the club, but after playing from New York to California the fan club’s membership exploded to a few thousand.
F.J.'s performances always have the audience singing by the end of the concert. The group is sure to schedule a concert at Anyplace in Pittsburgh every time they tour because they used to play there all the time before they made it big.
