Flyleaf Tickets
Flyleaf began performing at City, a college dive bar. The guitarist was encouraged to play by his mom. The drummer wanted to start a band since he was in grade school. Flyleaf began playing together in 1997. The group used to sell their CDs out of their van on campus.
Flyleaf was discovered while playing at at Anyplace, a local dive bar. The band played for years atsmall bars making almost no money. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller clubs in which they started.
Flyleaf finally knew they made it in 1981, when the band's first fan club was started by Kathleen McCarther. The club started out small, with just a handful of members around Concord. After the group’s first national tour the club grew dramatically, reaching a membership in the thousands.
Flyleaf intends to take some time off after the tour, allowing the band members to rest. The group is in the middle of the tour accompanying for their most current record.
The group has never played a bad show in San Antonio, so they make sure to schedule a stop there whenever they tour. Flyleaf appreciates that they are able to do what they love because of the fans, so they play the hits off their most current record as well as the classics.
