The members of Gallows were friends in middle school. The drummer used to fall asleep with a CDplaying as a teenager. The drummer was influenced by his dad's love of music. Gallows started performing at the local bar Anyplace. The band used to practice at the bassist's house.

The group is in the second leg of the accompanying tour for their newest project. Gallows intends to spend some time apart after the tour, to allow the group members to recharge after a long tour.

Often times, critics have commended Gallows for their ability to rile up the audience during concerts.
