The guitarist used to fall asleep with a cassette tapeplaying as a kid. Gang Gang Dance started performing at the local dive bar Cafeteria. The band used to sell their CDs out of their van in the school parking lot.
Gang Gang Dance's newest release is the group's first album in four years. The group is in the second leg of the tour promoting for their most current record. Gang Gang Dance's members hope this tour and the newest project attracts a whole new audience.

Gang Gang Dance realized they made it in 1997, when the group's first fan club was started by Jenny Prather. The club started out small, with just a handful of members around Dallas. After the band’s first national tour the club grew dramatically, reaching a membership in the thousands.
