Gary Sinise & Lt. Dan Band’s members met in middle school. The lead singer was encouraged to play by his grandfather. The lead singer was heavily influenced by his sibling's love for music. Gary Sinise & Lt. Dan Band started performing at the local dive bar Nymph. The band kept requesting that the local radio station to play their songs.

After paying their dues and opening shows for years, Gary Sinise & Lt. Dan Band was signed to a record deal. The band took any show they could get before they were signed. Gary Sinise & Lt. Dan Band always wanted to hear themselves at the top of the charts and they got their wish with the release of their first single. The bandplays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller venues in which they began.

Gary Sinise & Lt. Dan Band realized that their dream of making an actual life for themselves as musicians had come true in 1994, when the band's first fan club was started by Martha Isenhower. The club started out in San Antonio with a handful of members, but grew tremendously once their singles started getting national air time.

Gary Sinise & Lt. Dan Band's most current release is the band's first album in nine years. The band is in the start of the promotional tour for their newest album. Gary Sinise & Lt. Dan Band will take a break after the tour, allowing the group members to recharge.
