Guns N' Roses Tickets

There are many bands that deal with Hard rock but few have gone through the ups and downs since the formation like the band ‘Guns N' Roses’. Axl Rose set up this band in the year 1985 in California. Ever since its start, the band got mired in numerous controversies and disputes. The band members have produced 3 music videos, one live album, 2 EPs and 5 studio albums. It is presently working on an album named ‘Chinese Democracy’ which has been in the making for more than a decade.

The controversies and problems notwithstanding, the band has sold more than 90 million albums globally. Its debut album named ‘Appetite for Destruction’ came out in 1987 and it became a sleeper hit. The audiences went crazy with the groovy and foot tapping numbers and the album reached the top position in the US billboard 200. The subsequent albums of the band like ‘Use Your Illusion I’ and its sequel also made their way up in the popularity charts and set new sales record. Guns N' Roses is noted for its guts to break away from the contemporary glam metal genre and offer a peppier and authentic version of rock to the audience.

The first full length album of the band ‘Appetite for Destruction’ catapulted the members into limelight. One of its tracks ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ was accompanied by a music video. The albums and other releases of the band were accompanied with materials exclusively meant for the audiences of overseas nations. Another track of the album named ‘Sweet Child o' Mine’ was composed by Rose for his girlfriend. The band was gaining mass popularity during this phase, and this ensured extensive airing of this song and its music video on MTV. It became a smash hit and dominated the popularity charts in 1988. Another single of this album ‘Paradise City’ also became hugely popular. The success of the band was followed by a world tour. However, the events in the infamous Monsters of Rock Festival in England gave the band a bad name in the industry.

The sophomore release of the band titled ‘G N' R Lies’ came in 1988. It also garnered significant fame and sales record. However, usage of controversial and racial slang in the track ‘One in a Million’ made the critics hostile to the band. The members of the band like McKagan and Slash drew flak from the fans after appearing intoxicated publicly. This led to internal conflicts between the members. The band released its third album in two instalments in 1991. This strategy worked in the favour of the group and the songs became popular quickly. The release of Use Your Illusion part I and II was succeeded by a world tour. While the tour made the group financially strong and spread their popularity it also brought along baggage of controversy. The aggression of Rose made the matters worse. The last official release of the band titled ‘The Spaghetti Incident?’ could not touch the popularity of the previous albums.
