Hadouken! began playing at the college club Cafeteria. The lead singer was influenced by his sibling's love of music. The bassist used to fall asleep with a tapeplaying as a kid. Hadouken!’s members met in 1977. The group was influenced by the Kinks.

Hadouken!'s most current record is the band's tenth album. The group just finished their latest record, but they are already thinking of their next move. Hadouken! plans to spend some time apart after this next tour, allowing the group members to recharge.

Hadouken! talked to a local music director from Q90.1 and got their single on air. The girlfriend of a record executive heard the song and soon after Hadouken! was signed. The group regularly played at Gas before making it to the big time. Hadouken! always wanted to hear themselves at the top of the charts and they got their wish with the release of their first single. The band really enjoys performing and is playing almost nightly for fans.

Hadouken! knew that living life as a musician was a actual possibility after the band’s first fan club was started by Carol Jasper in 1979. The club started out in New York with a handful of members, but grew tremendously once their singles started getting national air time.
