The track "Breaking Free", that came out in the UK rose to 45 place in the official top 75 list on download version. After the single was released physically, it reached the #9 position. In India the movie was aired along with the release of the songs that came out in Hindi language. The soundtrack was released in South Africa at some few select stores on November 13, 2006 and all the copies were released during its first week.

A special edition of the album with a bonus disc came out on the same day of the release of the DVD on May 23, 2006. The special edition was released by Walt Disney Records and it contained eight karaoke tracks of ", "Get'cha Head In The Game”,” When There Was Me And You”,” Breaking Free”, "I Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You", "Start of Something New", "What I've Been Looking For”,” Bop to the Top" and "We're All In This Together".
