The members of H.R. were friends in high school. One of the group's members used to listen to his dad's music collection constantly as a child. H.R. started singing at the college dive bar Cafeteria. The band was influenced by music of the 1950s.

H.R. will spend some time apart after this next tour, allowing the group members to recharge. The band recently finished their most current project, and they are thinking of what is to come next. The most current project from H.R. is the group's fifth record.

H.R. were sure that they would make it after signing the record deal. They had heard stories of others still failing, but were sure they would be one of those bands. The band is on the road all the time now promoting their album before large crowds.
