I Am Spoonbender Tickets
I Am Spoonbender began playing together in 1987. The drummer was encouraged to play by his grandmother. I Am Spoonbender began playing at Fuzz, a local dive bar. Music of the '50s heavily influenced the early work of the group.
I Am Spoonbender talked to a DJ from Q93.9 and got their single on air. The girlfriend of a record executive heard the song and soon after I Am Spoonbender was signed. The band members were ecstatic to have the opportunity to make an album and quit their day jobs that supported them while they worked hard at night to make their dreams happen.
I Am Spoonbender finally realized they made it when the group’s first fan club was started by Elizabeth Hart in 1985. While the club started out small after the organizer heard the group play at a small club in Austin, the club grew leaps and bounds after the band’s first national tour.
I Am Spoonbender hope to collaborate with other artists while they tour. The group is in the first leg of the tour accompanying for their most current release. The latest record from I Am Spoonbender has been heavily influenced by singers of the '80s.
Every time the band comes to Baltimore they are sure to stop at Dealer and play a show. The band has all their tour information, from the tour schedule to the latest I Am Spoonbender tickets released, on TheSeats.com.
