The members of Icy Demons met in 1996. The lead singer was influenced by his father's love of music. The bassist use to listen to CD constantly as a child. Icy Demons began singing at the college bar Beach. The group had their friends call into the local radio station to play their single.
Icy Demons talked to a local music director from K95.5 and got their single on air. The girlfriend of a record executive heard the song and soon after Icy Demons was signed. Icy Demons’s first album was a dud, but the second finally got some attention.
Icy Demons's newest album has been heavily influenced by The Rolling Stones. The band just completed their most current record, but they are already planning the next release. Members of Icy Demons see this tour as a chance to expose a new group of fans to their music.
Generally, critics have commended Icy Demons for their ability to connect with the crowd at live shows. Galloway Storjohann, a music critic from Champaign, has always mentioned group’s superb drummer. Icy Demons’s most current album has received tremendous reviews from Vito Zadra, a music critic out of Kansas City, and Jeff Rohrs, from Chicago.
