Idan Raichel’s members were friends in high school. The drummer use to listen to musics constantly as a kid. The drummer was encouraged to play by his high school teacher. Idan Raichel began playing at Cafeteria, a college dive bar. The group used to sell their CDs out of their truck at school.

The band has just finished their latest album, and they are planning the next release already. Idan Raichel will take some time off after this next tour, allowing the group members to work on individual projects.
